Modified 2024 Annual Service Plan

BFT staff have made significant deliberations concerning the 2024 Annual Service Plan (ASP), originally adopted on November 9, 2023. The 2024 ASP was initially aimed at enhancing BFT's fixed route service and integrating the new Queensgate Transit Center into the agency’s transit system. The plan also entailed adjustments to various routes and increased frequency during peak periods to better serve communities in the western portion of our Public Transportation Benefit Area (PTBA).

Recent discussions surrounding the possible loss of I-2117 (Climate Commitment Act) funds have prompted staff to reassess the approach.

On May 9, 2024, staff presented two options for revised service plans. The Board has given staff the approval to proceed with the proposed reduction in service to maximize mitigation efforts.
